📣 Wanted: MWR Youth Sports Volunteer Coaches!

CYS Youth Sports is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer coaches for our upcoming seasons! No experience is required—we provide all the training you need. If you have a passion for sports and a desire to mentor young athletes, we want you on our team.
We need coaches for:
Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, Flag Football, Cheerleading, Track & Field, and Volleyball.

| Child's Registration | Head coaches get 100% credit for ALL their children in the same sport. Assistant coaches get 100% credit for ONE child. |
| Volunteer Hours | Earn 88 certified volunteer hours per season. |
| Promotion Points | A great opportunity for service members to earn points. |
| Free Certifications | Includes CPR & First Aid, plus NAYS (National Alliance for Youth Sports) certification and membership. |
| Background Check | Your CYS background check will be valid for 5 years. |
| Recognition | Opportunity for recognition at the Army Hawaii Volunteer Ceremony and for the NAYS National Coach of the Year award. |
📋 Volunteer Commitment & Info
| Eligibility | Open to all DOD ID cardholders, 18 years of age and older. |
| Time Commitment | Approximately 3 hours per week. |
| Season Length | Each season lasts about 7 weeks (2 weeks of practice + 5 weeks of games). |
| Practice Schedule | Coaches can select preferred practice days/times (typically Tue-Thu or Wed-Fri evenings). |
| Requirements | Must complete a volunteer packet and a live-scan fingerprinting/background check. |
