AMR Pool Cardboard & Plastic Boat Show Challenge

Note: This event has already passed.

1. Only corrugated cardboard and empty and clean plastic containers may be used. It can be of any thickness. Groups may only use cardboard, plastic bottles, tape and colored markers for construction and decoration of their boats and oars.

2. Materials such as paint, Styrofoam or rubber inflation devices are prohibited.

Boat design is left up to the builders. Let your imagination take over, and make your boat look like a racecar, flying saucer, dragon, etc.

Crew costumes are encouraged!

 

Participants must design and build a human-powered boat made of only the above listed items.

All participants will be issued a PFD to use while at AMR Pool.

All boats and building materials must be removed by the participants at the end of the event.

Team's boat handling skills and the sea worthiness of their vessel will be tested by how well they navigate a floating obstacle course.

1. The Most Creative Award: Judges’ choice on design and artistic elements

2. The Most Team Spirit Award: Judges’ choice based on Teams’ support of their entries’ Theme

3. The Titanic Award: Judges’ choice given to the most spectacular sinking
