2024 Fall Softball Classic Invitational

Program:  2024 Fall Softball Classic Invitational                                                                                  

Site: Stoneman Softball Complex, Schofield Barracks

Tournament Date: September 14-15, 2024 

Eligibility:   Open to all Servicemen and Servicewomen of all Military Service Branches (including Reservists and National Guardsmen), Military Dependents, Military Retirees, and all authorized DOD ID Cardholders 18 years of age or older.   All participants are required to present a valid Military ID that verifies eligibility status on site.  

 Invite a friend: One (1) Non-DoD player, “Chip Player,” will be allowed on each team, including the intramural division. Must be 18 years and older with valid ID. Need to be able to gain access on base or sponsored on by a DoD card holder. All “Chip Players” must sign a waiver/hold harmless agreement to participate in this event.

Tournament Information and Instructions:  A minimum of 4 teams per division are required to conduct separate division tournaments.  If there are not enough teams to conduct separate divisions, all teams will be integrated into one tournament (No exceptions).  The Intramural Division is geared for teams that are comprised of active-duty players seeking recreation.  Rosters for Intramural division must include rank of soldiers participating.  The Open Division is geared for teams that are mostly comprised of players seeking more high-level competition and open to all DoD card holders 18 and over. Co-Ed Division must always have 4 women on the field.  We will be following modified USA/ASA Softball Rules for all divisions. Please sign up accordingly based on your team’s experience and competition level.

Entry Deadline: All completed applications and payment must be received by the Martinez Physical Fitness Center and Health and Fitness Center (Schofield Barracks) or the Fort Shafter Physical Fitness Center by the facility’s close of business on Friday, 23 August.  For Additional payment and tournament information, please contact the Sports Office in Schofield Barracks, 730 Leilehua Avenue, Bldg. 645, Room 2.  Once payment is made, NO REFUNDS will be issued out except for unforeseen circumstances beyond DFMWR’s control (e.g. weather). Please ensure your application was also received and confirmed by the USAG-HI Sports, Fitness, & Aquatics Office, 730 Leilehua Ave, Bldg. 645, Schofield Barracks.

Cost: $300 Per Team
Awards for 1^st and 2^nd place in each division.

Home Run Derby Information: Men's and Women's Division
$20 per participant (Register at the tournament.)
*Winner of Derby will win a Softball Bat (with a minimum of 10 paid entries).

Mandatory Pretournament Organization Meeting: Thursday, August 29 at 2 pm at Tropics Recreation Center: 1470 Foote Ave, Schofield Barracks
